E machines EL1200. Came with XP but upgraded to vista premium home edition. now the machine is dual boot, It boots to XP or vista. That is not what I wanted, the HD partisan is small, room for only one OS. How do I delete one of the OS's without wiping the HD and starting again?

Open the Start Menu -> Type "msconfig" into the search box; hit the enter key -> Select the "Boot" tab -> Delete the XP entry (Probably labeled "Earlier Version of Windows").

If you still have XP on another partition, Open up the Start Menu -> Right Click "Computer" -> Click Manage -> Click Storage -> Disk Management. Right Click the XP partition and select Delete Volume.
