Help! I put an Intel Coppermine 700 mhz cpu (FC-PGA) in a PPGA socket (533 mhz) and powered up the computer. It came on briefly, then turned off. I replaced the processor with the correct type, now the PC will not power on (the power light/HDD lights just flash). It's my kid's old HP Pavilion 4445 with an Asus MEB-VM mobo. Did I fry it? I'm trying to clear BIOS by pulling the CMOS battery, as I can't find a reset jumper on the board. I'm afraid my carelessness has cooked this sucker and the kids are going to get an upgrade.
