Acer Helios 300 problem

Hey guys.

I have a Acer Helios 300, and i just unboxed it set it up, etc


The problem is:

The Keyboard backlighting does not turn on unless the laptop is plugged into a power source.
the laptop is at like 95% battery. it should work.

I cant find any settings to change it in the pre-installed Acer gaming app or whatever.

i cant find it in the Power setting either.


i dont think this matters, but i have the version of the laptop with the 16 GB ddr4, 256 gb ssd, Intel core i7 7700HQ, and a GTX 1060.

Edit: i have checked the bios. it looks like the stock intel bios. No keyboard settings.
