Hi. Wrote on here a few months ago about a virus that virtually destroyed my Acer Aspire 5920. It eventually starting working, and I downloaded a trial version of Windows Office 2007 - this runs out next week.
This week, I purchased the 2007 Windows from Software4Students (UK based), for £43.50. It arrived today and I am trying to install it.
When I put the CD into my laptop, my laptop 'buzzes,' as if it knows there is a CD in there. However, nothing happens. If I go onto 'My Computer' there is no removable drives listed.
I don't know how I can get this to install. Its says it is compatible with my system - Vista running on 32-bit. I've visited Microsoft website, but couldn't find any help.
Has anyone got any ideas on why it is doing this? My computer is fully clear of the previous virus.
