I need to know which type of memory it uses and how much memory I can put in it, the motherboard has 2 memory slots currently 1gb in each slot, I want order online so need to be sure of the memory type and how much memory the board can candle before I order it. the pc is about 18 months old.

If thats the board then he omitted the 7 between the P and the 3.

Have you tried with just the new memory and SSD only, to see which is the problem? In other words, without the old harddrive and memory. If it boots add the old memory and then add the old drive to see where the problem pops up at.
