Ack overheating issues continued~!

Hey guys so I put on some of that artic silver 5 stuff on my video card...it worked real well for a few weeks, then the weather got hot and then the beeping started again. So the weather is cooler now and I played COD2 and had my ATI temp gauge showing 49 cels....then I played and got up to the 80-90 range and when i didn't move but had the game running high 60's to 70's. I am not sure if these temps are normal or not..this is my first time checking the temps..before my card just beeped with the failsafe thinger.

I am not over clocking or anything either...also my card is an ATI x850xt PE PCI express...

Well the thing is I have 7 fans running just in the case...plus a chip set heatsink and fan....I am just wondering if maybe the card went bad or the maybe the chipset/mother board could cause that...My card has no errors ar weird things happening so I am trying to figure out if i need to put better thermal compound on my chipset heatsink....It didn't do this for the first few months I had this set up and I havn't changed a thing yet.
