Ad Blockers for FIREFOX? (for computer not phones)

Greetings all,

It's been a while.......
I used to have an ad blocker that was an "add-on" to Firefox (henceforth described as "FF") but, something occurred between creator/developer and the FF people that has DISABLED the ad blocker add-on.....

Going to the "FF" sections that has those download sites, ANY downloads one tries to get reads back as corrupted, and no good.

**Is there a free-bie download for "FF" that will work? (For PC and NOT phones).

I went to utube and clicked on a video..was 3- 4 minutes before the video popped "on"!......
Yeah, it may have blocked an ad but, the "FF" ad blocker, now extinct, would kill that ad and vid would play inside of 5-7 seconds...I suspect that it MAY have prevented the ad from being viewed but, probably allowed the ad to play but, not be watched...
 
ublock can cause delays on youtube. 3-4 minutes is far longer than I would expect, maybe 10-15 seconds. Any adblocker will suffer from the same issue, assuming it is actually blocking the ad youtube is trying to play.

Google spends a lot of time on making it hard to block ads.

Beats me.....On other "typical" sites/ it seems to work ok but, on "utube" "uh-uh"....
 
So, I am not allowed to have my personal preferences?...
I have to do what this board suggests or I get ridiculed?..
Is this board not for suggestions?....
I must do what this board tells me to or, the name calling and innuendoes start?
