Adaware or Microsoft antispyware

which do you think is better at removing spyware ad-aware SE personal or micorsoft anit spyware? :)
 
the latter is still in beta isn't it and theres choke problems with it like not being able to disable it properly or something. i 'd go with ad aware but that alone is not enough really you really need additional programs really like hijackthis and then some that ad adware can't remove.
 
Microsoft Anti Spyware is out of its beta stages atm, its just a damn hastle to validate your PC before downloading it. Altough Microsoft promotes Ad-Aware and Spybot (Free versions.) The most compatible security software is probably the one published by microsoft its self. I would personally give MS Anti Spy a try.
 
both. both are great. use both to scan, use MS's realtime scanner to keep from being infected. :)
 
i feel ms slows down the computer a bit, so i run the ms anti ware once in a month alone,
although if ur computer can handle it, id also suggest a joint usage. the top three freeware programmes to be used are adaware, spybot and ms anti spy
 
sorry but i reckon XoftSpy is the best antispyware software out. It finds abolutely everything. i did a scan in safe mode with spybot, then adaware then $. they removed a lot. but the with XoftSpy came like another 210 values that had not been picked up by the other software. Also SpywareBlaster is awesome at stopping spyware from entering in the first place
 
Don't you folks think it's a bit risky to install multiple anti-spyware (or anti-popups) on your computer? I mean, what if they don't get along with each other, i.e., conflicts?
 
having mulitple anti spyware programs is fine, its anti virus your only supposed to have one of. That and firewall

Use Both, that is the best solution. Also use Spybot Search And Destroy.
A Great Browser Alternative Other Than Microsoft Internet Explorer Is Firefox Aswell.
 
I agree xoftspy finds alot of spyware the others dont and spysweeper has exelent reviews...I use both and ad-aware, spybot and spyware blaster however I am not to impressed with the microsoft antispyware program as it has found nothing on my computer that the others have already caught!

the peoblem is, i dont have too much free resources on this computer, and so i cant install another browser.
il have to make do with the occasional online scan or adaware scan.
