using lavalays home everest, it says the my (what it think is the agp slot) says ADD does that mean its a different slot or is it a different name for AGP?
 
I'm not quite sure what you're referring to, but ADD is not another name for AGP...ADD isn't anything computer-component related as far as I know.
 
It's an expansion slot that doesn't work all the time. It works some of the time, but you always have to pester it to pay attention.

the video card i got is an agp card and it fits in the ADD slot that looks just like an AGP but windows will not detect it, styrak do you think you will be able to tell me to get this slot to work cause ive tried everything in bios and windows
 
It's obviously something wrong with Everest. You dont have an AGP card in an "ADD" slot.

Perhaps you just have A.D.D. and cant read what it says :)
 
Sorry man I was joking around. There is no such thing as an ADD slot.
I was comparing it to Attention Defecit Disorder, but of course computers don't suffer from that!
 
thats alright i have A.D.D. but i was on the if'y side but thats just what everest said
but now i get it. good thing i'm an easy-going guy:P
 
bah....i hate Everest...i used a trial and the software said i had a Pentium 4 dual Processor system. wow, got tricked by HT.......
 
HT technology was pretty wishy washy, I never got into the hype, I just had a P4 2.4 then straight to a Core 2 Duo X6800. :D
