I recently bought 2 new ram sticks for my pc, which is a home built pc. My mb is a Gigabyte GA B250 hd3. My ram was working in the 2 & 4 slots but it took about 2 minutes to boot up. So I bought a ssd 250gb drive because they are supposed to be faster for bootups I heard but it took about 90 seconds to bootup. I use my 1 tb hdd as storage now. So I added 2 new ram on my pc. When I booted up I got 5 beeps. I looked at the 4 led lights & found that the DRAM light stayed on. So I pulled all my ram out & tested my slots with one of the ram sticks. I tested each slot & found that #1 slot was giving me the 5 long beeps. So I don't know if this is a ram,cpu or a mother board problem. Any ideas what it might be. Any help would be much apprieciated. Thanks.

    My ram is:
    CORSAIR Vengeance LPX - DDR4 - 8 GB: 2 x 4 GB - DIMM 288 2666 MHz 1.2v v.3.20 (old)

    CORSAIR Vengeance LPX - DDR4 - 8 GB: 2 x 4 GB - DIMM 288 2400 MHz 1.2v v.3.21 (new)

    My bios is:
    Bios Version-F9

    Bios ID-8A0BAG0P

    My cpu is:
    Intel Pentium G4400 3.3 MHz

    Graphic Card is:
    MSI Radeon HD6450

    My OS is:
    Windows 10 Pro

If all ram sticks give you the 5 beeps in that slot then its a slot issue. Bad slot will cause this sort of issue.

It is the #1 slot that give me the problem. In this case the mother board is still under warranty. Gigabyte has a 3 year warranty. I'll contact Gigabyte & get a replacement. Thanks for your help.
