Adding a new fan - Help?

Alright so my graphics card on full load is heating up to something like 120 degress celcius. Now I now it is extremely bad at that temperature. So I just want to add in a small fan to solve the heat build up issue.

I've located 3 small pins sticking out at the bottom of the motherboard. It says system fan on it. ( 3 pins coming out). Nothing is/ever was plugged into there.

I need some advice on adding a fan? I've never done any upgrades to my computer myself other than watching the lady at the chop put in 2 ram sticks.

The GPU is a Nividia GeForce 7300 Gs and my PSU is only a 250W.

First try cleaning the dust out of your gpu with a can of canned air. Next try setting your fanspeed to 100% with something like rivatuner, if that doesnt help temps THEN think about adding a fan.
 
My computer is spotless, I'm very good with looking after it. I've only got a total of two fans in my computer currently. One blowing on the CPU and the other is in the PSU.
 
I'm not planning on cutting any holes/openings into my chassis if thats why you wondering? There is a small airvent below the main one which goes to the CPU. I thought if I could place just a small fan at the bottom there it'll blow onto the GPU and cool it down.

You could do that, though a small fan, (60mm or so), probably wouldn't make that much difference. Why not a large 120 or 140mm behind that bigger vent?
 
That would be a good idea, BUT, that will completly miss the video card. Plus behind that vent my CPU/PSU fan system is going on.

The graphics card is old(ish) and doesn't have its own fan, so my plan is just to angle one that'll blow on the card and then blow the hot air into the rest of the air system then out the case. Unfortunately I cannot post a pic of the inside of my case, it would make it easier to understand.

It would be much easier just to place a 60/80mm fan at the bottom. Now I've never done this before. I buy a fan with a 3 socket connector. Plug it onto the 3 pin power source coming out my motherboard, turn the computer on and it should be blowing air out?

Pretty much, just because your computer is "spotless" doesnt mean you dont have dust buildup in the find of the cards fan though. Is it an orb style cooler or does it have a fan with a cover that you cant see dust buildup/etc? Also, still should try using rivatuner to increase fanspeed. But you should also add a 120 or 140mm fan to the side panel, more airflow=better.
 
A couple of things to consider are:
1. When you mount or dismount that panel, (with a fan attached), you might need an extension for the wire.
2. A small fan will be more effective if the opening that it's mounted to is at least as big as the inside diameter of the fan. That vent looks to be only about 1" in height.
3. Sounds like you could use at least one large fan in you case moving air out, as temps inside the case are probably on the high side.
4. BUT, it won't hurt to mount a small fan as you describe and see what difference it makes. It is as simple a drilling a few holes for mounting screws and plugging the 3 pin connector into the motherboard. Would probably be more effective blowing in rather than out for a spot cooling effect.

In the pics of My Rig, (in my signature), you can see a 60mm fan hung off the CPU cooler that I use for a spot cooler on my northbridge. Though it doesn't bring in outside air, it works well because the ambient temp inside my case is cool with a 120 and a 140 blowing in and a 120 + PSU fan blowing out.
 
Bomberboysk, with no offence, I dont think you understand. My video card is a Nvidia Geforce 7300 GS. It came with my computer when I got it 2/3 years ago. It does not have a fan on it, or any other cooling device. Here is a link to it infact:

Here are photos of the case. First, outside where the vents are. The big vent is where the CPUs fan is pulling in air. The small one underneath that is where I plan to add a small 3 socket fan.
