I don't exactley have the best GPU i know, Its this one here but i noticed it was getting very hot so i thought i'd get a aftermarket cooler for it with a fan.

I was wondering what would be the best way to get the original H/S off the card.

You should be able to pop those two clear tabs up. just make sure to not twist or bend the heatsink while you do this or you could chip the chip. :D

yeah, i have got the two clips off but it seems like the H/S is fixed on there with glue or something.
I tried to pull it off but it's on there good. I don't want to rip it off and damage the card though.

My dad knows nothing about PC's but he suggested to use a hairdryer and try and soften the glue a bit so i can pull it off, but i don't think it would be a good idea to heat the card up like that.

O.K. it's all done, i thought i might try O/Cing the card a little to heat it up and it worked. I put the aftermarket H/S on and it's fine.

Thanks.
