Adding capity of my HDD

Greetings:

I have a primary 40GB hdd and second 40GB hdd. IS there any way to partition my second hdd to add it to my primary.What I mean is to combine the two hdd to become 80GB as a whole.

yes it can be done...i dont know much about it however you can have a read of http://www.computerforum.com/10889-raid-101-a.html and look at the bit about "spanning" while you wait for one of the other member to reply that are more experienced in it.

Oh, you mean still have both hd's but make Windows recognise it as one! Sorry...........i thought you meant put the hd space of one into the other.
