Adding extra Hard Drive

i have an extra hard drive laying around and im gunna put it in my sisters pc but i put it in but i cant get stuff to save on that HDD, it still all just saves to the hard drive thats been in there. her computer is full it has less than 1gb of space left and i really need to figure out how to setup the other one to give her more space. can someone help?

are you saying the pc doesn't recognize the newly installed hdd or are you saying she doesn't know how to configure your downloads to save on the new drive drive?
