Adding new components

Hello,

I recently got a new computer. It is a HP m8400f. Here are the specs. I have a old PNY GeForce MX 4000 graphics card and I was wondering if the 300w power supply that comes with the pc would be able to handle the additional card? Would the power supply
be able to handle another DVD-RW drive? Someone told me that I'm nuts for having only a 300w psu but i think he just doesn't know what he is talking about since it is a prebuilt system from HP. Any help is appreciated!

That computer already has an 8500GT, why would you put in an MX 4000?

Because I want to run dual monitors. I know I can buy a splitter but it would be free if I used my MX 4000.

Well first off, is your MX 4000 PCI or AGP? I know the 8500GT for the most part always has dual DVI or VGA/DVI outputs, does yours only have one?

It is PCI. I know there is another slot available. My 8500gt has a hdmi, s video and dvi.

Well then another option you can do is by an HDMI > DVI converter or cable, honestly using such an old card such as the MX 4000 for dual monitors isn't the best idea.
