Adding one switch to another

Hi there

im new to this forum, but need some advice on networking,

at the moment we have a router (cissco 800 series) and a Net-Lynx 8-port Full Duplex Ethernet Switch (ES3108CH4) all 8 ports are being used on the switch, hardwired around the building.

at the front desk there is one port (from the switch) used by one PC. I want to plug in a PDQ machine into the internet too, whic requires another port.

what would be the easiest way to do this?
can another switch at the front desk be used (router->switch->switch)
does it matter which port on the switch the front desk port is plugged into?
does any special type of cable need to be used?

Thanks for your help

Just get a 4port switch and station it at the front desk. Unhook the cable from the pc and plug into the switch and then hook up the pc and the pdq machine into the switch.
