Adding RAM

So I have two of the same type of computer, and one is used as a POS system. Can I take RAM out of one of them and add it to the more important one to make it a little quicker??

As long as the RAM is the same, then yes you can. But, depending on the mobo, that could actually slow it down. Is the RAM the same size? (as in memory)
