Adding System Memory to Video Card

My quetion is will adding system memory increase ur video cards performance? if yes how significant this improvment is? say ur card has 250+ Ram of its own but you can add more system memory to it to make it 500+ RAM..

You can't add memory to your video card. Even if you have onboard video, you're motherboard has limitations and would still be limited to it. Besides, adding memory really does nothing speed wise, espcially to video.

Well back in the early days of video cards you could ;)

But any recent card doesnt allow you to add your own memory to it.
