administrater?

just upgraded my home computer to vista, premium home edition. Several functions refuse me access saying i'm not the administrater. This is home edition, I thought only professional versions would require an administrater. At any rate, how do I convince haL i'm the boss.

Make sure the account you are using is an administrative account and not a limited account. If you are having issues installing/launching applications, simply right click on the file or shortcut and select "Run as Administrator".
