I downloaded Advanced System Care Pro off Cnet and I was just wondering what you guys think of it? I read somewhere that it can actually delete necessary files in your registry and ever since then I feel like my computer has been running a tad bit slower. I don't know whether i am experiencing placebo or if it's actually hindered the laptop. Thoughts?

Never run a registry cleaner as it will end up causing more problems then what it solves. Run a free antivirus program such as Avast or MSE and then use Ccleaner to delete your temp files and then install malwarebytes as a backup malware scanner. But again, do not use the registry cleaner in Ccleaner.

Is there anyway to fix what I may have caused or do I need to reinstall the operating system?

You can try running a system restore but I can't guarantee it will fix your problem.

Never use programs like that for system care.
The best advanced system care is your knowledge which you use to do everything right.No programs can measure with the human brain.

Ccleaner has always been the best. All these All-in-one utilities are one-size-fits-all, and every PC is different. The only other utility I've used is PrivaZer, but only on my on custom settings.

tryded system care and diddent like it at all.

type (with spaces)

sfc /scannow

hit enter

So if I run that and nothing comes up, Advanced System Cleaner shouldn't have caused any damage?
