What advantage would i get with a 19in monitor as say to a 15in monitor in playing a game online.Would i see more of the map or would the map just look bigger.

It depends on the game. Having the bigger monitor naturally gives you the option to play games at higher resolution if the game supports high resolution. Higher resolution generally shows more of the game in your case the map. In some games though higher resolution does not always show more of the game on the screen (Ex: warcraft 3). However most newer games and even some from 2-3 years ago do support high resolutions.

and the higher teh resolution, the better the image quality...

so for online FPS games its definatly worth it
