advice and suggestions please

well im new here and i only signed up to get some peoples thoughts on what would be best for my situation. which is this; my computer is more than powerful enough to play a few new games ive got recently (rise and fall: civilisations at war and command & conquer 3: tiberium wars) and yet my computer is only able to play them on a low setting. i tried shutting down every other program running which allowed me to run them at medium. what would be best to get more out of my computer? (spec below) would booting it from the cd work? or would i need 2 get a new graphics card? any suggestions would be helpful, thanks.

To answer you're question, yeah a new video card would be the biggest improvement. You're currently running onboard graphics, And this is no good for gaming.

Do you have a budget? It would make suggestions for the best card for the money alot easier.
 
woah thanks alot, ill be getting one straight away! should stop C&C3 from going to about 3fps when a nuke goes off lol dont suppose you have a link to a site that will send it to the UK do you?

i said $300 because thats about how much i have in US, in £ i have about £155 on me at the moment but if this card is £189 i can stretch to get that
