I'm looking to build my own computer. I want to keep the price around $500 to $700. Any suggestions on what I should get to fit my pricing needs? Thanks

I won't be using it for anything special. Just day to day stuff. I also don't need an OS or any software. I'm only looking for good hardware for the price.

Also, I won't need a monitor or speakers. I'm only looking for a PC to be built in that price range.

That's a part picking guide I wrote, for yoru budget range. Basic overview of your computer:

MSI P43 MOBO
E7400
4GB RAM
640GB HDD
9800GT(COD4 included!! Or pick a slightly different one, 5 bucks for, but comes with Cod5)
DVD Burner
Awesome case
530W PSU
operating system

you said you dont need an OS, so instead of the E7400, you could get a better quality PSU. Of course, this also means that you can shoose the same case, just get the cheapest one of that kind, and you saved yet more money. Also, instead of the E7400, you could get the E8400 or the Q6600. Hope it helped!

Sorry, but that is a bad idea. Especially since he/she wants JUST the PC, nothing else. One of my friends grampa is buying a computer for 1500 bucks. He will be getting i think 2GB ram? and the 3450, a Q6600 a montior, warranty(3yr) and i think aa 500GB harddrive. WTF? For 1500 bucks, you could stick in an i7, 4850, 640GB HDD 4GB RAM and still get a monitor and 3yr warranty. That just shows you how badly people will rip you off! (that was dell by the way)

My point with that little story was to show tht if you have the know how, BUILD THE COMPUTER!
