thanks i will look into all this that you pointed out... so i should not get a PSU that comes standard with cases?
some are good, some arent so good... have a look at PSU 101 to see how to discern

heres all the mobo choices:
abit kv8 pro via-K8T800 pro chipset w/5.1 sound, lan, usb 2.0 8x AGP motherboard [+ $6]
[new!!!] evga 115-K8-nf31-ax nForce-3 250gb chipset w/5.1 sound, lan, usb 2.0 8x AGP motherboard [- $14]
Foxconn 755a01-6ekrs sis-755 chipset w/5.1 sound, lan, ieee-1394, usb 2.0 8x AGP motherboard
Gigabyte K8ns nForce-3 250 chipset w/7.1 sound, lan, usb 2.0 8x AGP motherboard [- $14]
Gigabyte K8ns-pro nForce-3 250 chipset w/5.1 sound, lan, ieee-1394, usb 2.0 8x AGP motherboard [+ $19]
MSI K8T neo-fsr via-K8T800 chipset w/5.1 sound, lan, usb 2.0 8x AGP motherboard [+ $20]
well from that selection the K8ns-pro is prolly the best of them

so is DDR-400 a form of DDR or is it different? and is it better than regualr DDR? and less better than DDR2?
have a look through RAM 101 but DDR400 is just memory that is clocked at 200MHz (double that to get the 400) and happens to have 184pins and such.

the whole system will cost me aroun 1,200

But How does everything loook? anything I should change? What would happen if I didnt get a different PSU than the one that came with the case? Is it just raid max PSU's?

The PSU isnt that great... actually its pretty crappy

i think for "a little bit of gamplay" an x800 class card is overkill... a 6600 is probably more suited and worth your money

you can get good dvd burners at newegg for around 70$
hell make that $50 :)

see PSU 101.

also is the GEforce 6600 356 mb better than ATI Radeon X800 256MB w/DVI + TV Out Video
Its not better but more suited for what you're doing

If you are still looking for a pre-built system, I would recommend ibuypower. I just ordered the computer in my signature for $936. I have spoken many times with their customer service and they are very nice, I am never on hold.
