I've been out of the country for quite a few years and unable to keep up to date on what's what, as anyone that helped me in the MB forums knows.
Anyways I'm looking at HDD's for my build coming up and I know for sure I want a 10K rpm and I would like to know how significant the difference between the 3.0Gb/s and 6.0Gb/s SATA drives is. Also what is SAS? I'm only into gaming and I don't do anything very intensive or have any particular needs. I hate being this out of touch with these things and I'm the kind of person that likes to have as much info as possible so I can make an informed decision.
The last time I built a computer the choices were very simple. Now as I'm looking at all the components for my build I'm becoming a little overwhelmed lol. It's a shame the SSD are so expensive, I really want to try one out and see if they're really that good.
One last thing, since I haven't been able to keep up on things I really need to know if there is a particular brand or model I should stay away from, I've always been partial to Seagate, wondering if they're still good. Thanks for any input and advice.
