Advice on mobo

They are both AM3 compatible, both run DDR2 1066 without overclocking. Matter of fact all 4 links are AM3 compatible and DDR2 1066.

Asrock is junk. Like I said all 4 boards are AM3 compatible. True AM3 boards are DDR3. All these boards are AM2+ with a bios update to run a AM3 processor. The Phenom II AM3 has a DDR2 and DDR3 memory controller and can be used on both AM2+ and AM3 boards.

Ahh ok. Looks like with a BIOS update, it will take Phenom II's.

I just wonder why they don't state that in the specs.

So, for a complete rookie like me, that doesn't know anything about BIOS Updates, is one of the previously mentioned boards more user friendly? I mean, I don't really know how to go about messing with BIOS stuff. Would any of the above mentioned boards not require any tweaking?

Dont always trust Neweggs spec. I have saw them sell CPU/Motherboard combos and the board didnt even support the processor.

OK, cool. So are you saying that if I'm using a seperate graphics card it would be best to use a mobo without onboard video? Do they conflict with one another if I had a mobo with onboard video and a seperate graphics card, or does one just overpower the other, making it obsolete?
