PCI x8 isnt going to bottle a 6970.

ok. Maybe it's more like 1-2% then instead of the 10-15 I was thinking for the big cards.
Wouldn't number of montors/resolution matter?

Ok guys, I just picked up an i5 2500k for $230, 8gb of Kingston hyper x ram $70 and a cheap gigabyte z68x-ud3b3 mobo for $90.
I hope you guys put me on the right track, I'll set her up tonight and post my thoughts tomorrow.

The i5 was so easy to overclock, got her running at 4ghz no worries.
