So im going to do my first gaming pc and i would like to pick up some components today since they are on sale.

This s want i have in mind so far, please let me know if they are better components for the same $.

Also is the AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition any good? its a lot cheaper than the intel + I would only need this pc for around 2 years.

I ended up grabbing a 965 140W as well, when newegg had a combo deal with a mainboard for $70 off.
saved me a bit of money versus a 920... although the 920 is better, not by enough to warrant an extra 200-300 for me. (I would have got one had i not gotten the discount most likely though, lol)

Of the two, I highlighted the one I liked better. Primarily because it had 4 pciex16 slots - that gives some room for expansion. The other board only has 2 pciex16 slots - and 2 pciex1. Anything that can run in a pciex1 can run in a pciex16 - but not the other way around.

From waht I can see - looks like they both have crossfire, so that's a wash - and I didn't notice SLI on either.

It's always good to get some other opinions to get a rounded viewpoint. Hopefully others can weigh in too.

Yea thats why i was kinda confused between both, should i run sli or xfire? I think xfire its better since its an AMD pc, not sure though. Should i buy a ati or nvidia card? I think nvidia will have problems wouldn't it?

I'm debating on video card too :/ , I will buy one at beginning but will get another in 1-2 months.

Can you recommend me a video card? Crossfire since im doing dual in a couple months.

Whats your price range for the first card, then I will tell you want size power supply you need for two in crossfire.

I dont know $ for video card, I'm guessing around $200 and second one might be better. Also can be any power supply as long its like $150.
