Top end system build

Hello all. I am currently planning my 3rd computer to build and had some need for advice on a few parts. After much research, here are the parts I have chosen:

mobo: AN832 SLI Deluxe or DFI LANPARTY UT SLI-DR Expert
cpu: AMD FX-60
mem: Corsair TWINX20483500LLPRO
HD: 2 Western Digital 74gb Raptors in RAID 0
Other HD's: My old Western Digital Caviar SE's 80gb and 2 40gb w/ 8mb cache
PSU Pcpowercooling 1KW or Pcpowercooling 850 SSI or Seasonic S12-600 or Enermax Liberty 620
video:BFG 7800 GTX 512 or XFX 7800 GTX 512
sound: my old Soundblaster Audigy 2 ZS Pro
speakers: my old Klipsch 4.1 system
DVD Burner: Plextor 716A
CDRW: My old Yamaha CRW-F1
CDROM: Whatever is reliable
mouse: Logitexh G5 Laser Mouse
keyboard: Logitech G15 Gaming
case: Thermaltake ARMOR VA8000BWS
watercooling: Corsair Cool Water

Here are my questions:

I can't seem to find any info on the availability of the video cards. Have they been delayed; when are they coming out?!?! Everywhere I look says either not available or no longer available.

I am not going to use SLI or do any monster O/C'ing but want the best motherboard I can get. so which one would you choose?

How much PSU do I REALLY need. I added this stuff up and came up with about 750 watts.

I have little knowledge of water cooling. Is the Corsair as good as they say or is there something better?

As you may gather money is of no real importance. Just trying to keep under $4000.

Overall how does this system sound?

Thanks for any help you have to offer.

Bryan

Dunno why there's no nvidia's with 512, ATI's still got plenty if you want to go that route
For the amount you're paying, are you planning on SLI in the future?
With one video card, I can't see you needing anywhere near 750 watts, I think you'd have more than enough if you get something in the 500's, but you might want to up that if you're getting SLI in the future
I have never done water cooling either, but corsair is a reliabe brand so I would assume they should have a quality product
One thing I might change are your secondary hard drives, is there any reason you're getting 2 40's? I would say just get a 250 and forget getting three small drives. Maybe look into the x1900's or wait a while till the 7900's come out (of course it's an endless cycle of what's better this month, but if nothing else when the new cards are released the older ones will drop a little in price)

well the 7800gtx 512mb's are rare b/c their is a shortage of a certan chip(I forgot exactly what).
watts don't matter to much its all about the amps. the one u chose is really good so thiers no need to worry.
since u have the money. you should look into crossfire or just get one x1900xt then later on get the next best video card. or just wait for nvidias new video card coming out soon which will be better than the x1900xt and u'll have enought to buy 2 and sli them

Unless there all sata, dont use 5 hard drives. I would only use the 2x 74GB and the 80GB.

I would seriously look into the ATI x1900XTX 512 video card, its much better and cheaper.

There is no need for a power supply that great, i would go with a moduler one thats 500W or higher.

I have started to look at the 1900xtx. I have used a 9700pro for the last 3 years and feel the tide may be turning. Waiting to see if the 7900GTX will be better than the 1900XTX before I make my final decision.

What is the reasoning behind not using more than one IDE drive mixed with SATA?

I'd also recommend you transfer data from old HDDs to new, you can keep the 80gb tho. Twin 40s are too small. By using fewer HDDs you also have a lower needed PSU amperage/wattage so you can save on that.

Thanks for the replys.

I have 4 HD's presently as I have one for the OS/utilities, one for my graphics programs/files, one for games and one to store photographs (I am a part-time photographer). I may keep some of these drives in the old comp and have the RAID and 2 others; 1 for the graphics programs and the for temporary mass storage since I will have the DVD burner now. Will most likely put the games on the RAID or maybe I will setup 2 RAIDS, 1 for the OS and one for games. Only time will tell. I have a few months to thinks about as I will not have the money till then.

Just an update.

I found a 7800GTX 512 at Overclockers UK and ordered it! I'm kinda pumped.

Now I have to wait for the rest of the money to finish the system.
