Hi all, I need to buy a PC which is fast enough for video editing work, which will last, and has reasonable upgradability. My budget is around the £400-£500 mark.
I've been exploring a couple of options already but I'm pretty unsure...
1. Mac mini. It's a little over budget but I should be able to get a student discount. I was thinking of getting the quad core version which should amount to £600 (with discount). Obviously I'd be sacrifising upgradability as well but I will have the huge bonus of being able to transport it easily if I end up doing freelance video work.
2. The other option is to get a low-end ready-to-go desktop, and save cash for software and upgrades...Zoostorm desktops seem to fit the bill but I'm worried about their reputation.

Any better recommendations/help will be much appreciated
