Advice on quickest base unit for around £200-250 new or used.

Hello
I need a new base unit for work. It needs to be as quick as possible, preferrably 3GHZ+ processor and 2GB RAM upwards. I have had a look on eBay and just want to know what kind of ones i should be looking for etc. Should i get a quad core one?

Their posted processor speeds make me a little nervous (first two)... Especially with that low of a cost.

As for quad core, if you plan on multitasking a lot it's recommended that you do. You also probably won't need 3+GHz.

well its an auction so they are the starting price's thats why they are so low!

think the best bet would be the 1st one especialy with your budget

I know that, it still seems a little odd to price it that low. Maybe I'm a little too paranoid.
