Advice on upgrade gratefully recieved

Hi,

Was wondering if anyone could kindly give me a little advice on my PC. I know it is old but at the moment is all I can afford. I was thinking lately of spending £50ish to help it run better and was wondering on whether upgrading the RAM or network card would be beneficial. Or even whether it is worth upgrading the chip on current motherboard etc.

Any advice is gratefully received. Attached is a CPUID .txt result from the hardware specs.

Upgrading RAM and a clean install of your OS is your best bet.

About the only thing you can do is upgrade the memory to 4gb but not sure if thats even worth it. You would need 4 x 1gb sticks of ddr2 533mhz memory.

That's probably not even worth it though.

Add 2 x 1GB DDR2 from ebay, probably cost you £10 - 12.

Consider running Linux instead.
