The 970A-G46 will OC just as good as the GA-970A-UD3 that's often recommendend, but it's almost half the price. And in a $500 build, that's a value that can't be beat.
As for the RAM, I would choose 1x8GB Corsair over 2x4GB Team Vulcan any day. Performance wise, 99% the same. Quality wise, Corsair all the way. Lifetime warranty, doubt Team Vulcan has that. Also leaves room for another 3x8GB stick in the future, giving you a total 32GB vs 16GB potential RAM.
And 800MHz OC on Phenoms is decent, as Denther points out, they are often 125W TDP with quad cores.
