That's it...total comes out to around $700 but after MIR it'll be around $600. So i know it's $100 over my budget but that's the best i can come up with. Any help? Anything im missing to build and run the computer? Thnx guys for any input. ^.^

Why are you building socket 939?

For that budget, you could probably get a C2D. It might be a little stretch, but I think you could do it.

You had to say that again?

The C2D build is pretty good, but I would strongly recommend a different motherboard.

Your links don't work.

I think that the Asus one that joe posted is your best value for the quality.

The CPU Cooling, Thermal paste and Sound Card are not required. I would purchase a separate PSU (NOT the Thermaltake unit that's been recommended), however, or get a case that includes a better one, such as the Athenatech A416BS.400. You also haven't included an optical drive.

I know it costs more, but it's worth it. One of the best budget C2D mobos you'll find.

The 7600GT he had originally is a MUCH better video card, for only $10 more.

A MUCH better PSU. If budget is a real concern, this Hipro 400W will also suffice (still MUCH better than the Thermaltake), or you can get the Athenatech case I mentioned earlier that includes a good PSU.

A DVD-RW drive isn't that much more, if you need an optical
