adware or spyware or both?

I would like to download something to get the pop-ups off my pc. I am not sure whether to download adware or spyware. Would like your professional advise and which program to download. Thanks
 
Your best bet is to download both. I use spybot 1.4 and adware personel in which both are free. I also just downloaded Windows Defender which is also free.
 
spywareblaster is another good one, its like a "mini-firewall" so to speak. doesnt get all weird with your other firewall to....it's kinda nice to have. Also HijackThis is another good program, only problem with that is that you NEED to know what the heck you're deleting. You cant delete everything it lists, but...i like it :)
