Aero or equivalent for XP?

Is there a skin/theme for windows xp that can make it look like Vista's Aero?;)

Also, when i try and download skins off various websites Kaspersky allways detects 'not-a-virus;adware.win32.newdotnet' and something else. Is this normal and should i allow it or not?
 
I saw that, but i wasn't too keen on the glass effect thingy. I only want the black taskbar.:)
 
Oh right, I can help you with the black task bar, it's what I'm using at the moment :)

No its not normal.Actually those are .exe themes the ones usually from http://www.themexp.org/. i dont trust the ones from there.they're not neat at all.To get the black taskbar (hell,i have a white one called white vista)go to http://www.joejoe.biz/stream/ .
Now theres a good site for anything vista or even www.devantart.com
 
I'll try to put a list together of what I have and I'll post when I get a chance. I don't that I have too much as msstyles (most of what I have is for windowblinds).

I agree, their themes aren't that great IMHO and they have spyware in them. If you see one you absolutely really want from themexp.org, this trick has worked for me in the past (I found it somewhere):

When downloading msstyles from themexp.org, you actually download an exe full of spyware. You have to do the following in order to extract only the msstyles files.

run this (via Start/Run command) c:\a.exe /x c:\a
where a.exe is the file you want to open and c:\a is the folder. Personally I d/l alot of files there use this method after I'm finished d/ling them all. I rename the one I want to extract first to a.exe. use that run command to extract the file I need and move it elsewhere. Then delete a.exe. Rename the next one to a.exe and do the same. That way I don't have to type the run command over and over for each file.

After running this, you will find a file called %EXENAME%. Give it a rar or zip extension and then open with winrar. Here are the files you actually want.
 
just download the vista transformation pack..it not only has the vista theme but has a tool to enable glass effect as well
