After a little advice

Hey I'm looking to upgrade my computer, now I had original wanted a AMD Phenom II X6 1090T Black Edition , but was advised about the i5 2500k.

The i5 2500k is the oveclocking model, or so I understand, if I don't want too, is this the right cpu for me?

So I guess I'm trying to say is I'm not interested in overclocking or crossfiring.
Would the i5 still beat AMD Phenom II X6 1090T?

Or should I just wait for the Bulldozers?

Thanks for the time reading this.

If you don't want to overclock then i5-2500 is the best, yes it can beat 1090T when the actuall process speed is required. The 6 core Phenom becomes 3 when at turbo mode. but the i5 is 4 core at 3.7 Ghz.

Thanks for that, which motherboard would you suggest?
