Aftermarket VGA Cooler

I'm looking for an aftermarket cooler for my 8800GT. I'm running a Zotac 8800GT AMP! at 720/1800/2000 and I'm idling at 60C. My games usually max it at 70C, but I was trying out the Crysis demo last night. I managed to get it to run a steady 35 fps on 1680x1050, high settings, but the card made it all the way to 80C.

Anyways I narrowed my selection down to 3.

It's more of an issue of VF900 vs the VF1000 (fan controller but needs 3-pin, and then the DuoOrb (no fan control, but I don't have a free 3-pin). I was looking at the Thermalrights but they were too big and expensive.

And if this helps

Thanks for any input!

Yeah I read some pretty good stuff about that cooler but I don't know if it will fit in my case. I only have about 1" clearance between the top (side) of my card and the side of my case. Airflow isn't too great up there either, so an active cooler might be preferred. I'm not sure if you can tell from the picture.

the cooler i showed you can be used with out with out fans. and i believe it makes the card .5'' thicker and some cards about 1" max longer. make sure you have no RAM slots NB and SB in the way. i ant use it on mine as my ram is right by the gfx so i have to use a smaller fan cooler.

look online on the DIMs of the cooler and then take measurements inside case. i never buy unless i measure.

Alright I'll look into the Accelero. Any input on the 3 I have? I'm just trying to narrow down. I think I have it now between the DuOrb and the VF1000. I've probably every review and forum about 8800GT aftermarket coolers, all gave mixed opinions between the 3 (I listed). So I came here to clarify. But I'll definitely look into the Accelero, once it's back in stock.

I have the Accerlero one and it keeps my card under 65ºC without a fan, it's great. However, if it doesn't fit in your case, and you have to chose out of the 3 you listed, I would go with the VF900, it's small, compact, and does a pretty good job cooling.

Yeah, I'm just wondering how well it would run with the overclock. All the reviews praise these three coolers, but none of them can seem to agree on the best one lol.

Okay I've decided against the DuOrb because of noise, leaning towards the VF900 for cost. I was wondering what you guys think about the MOFSETs and about the thermal paste. I've found out that basically all of my games max around 75C now with the custom RivaTuner fan profile I edited. So basically $30 for the cooler, and potentially $20 for AS5 and MOSFET heatsinks. Is it really worth $50 not including S&H to bring the temp down, I don't know if 75C is considered too hot to the point where it impacts performance. I'm mainly looking to cool it so I can overclock it more, right now I'm at 700/1800/2000.
