age of empires 3 help

i recently bought a new computer it has vista and im trying to install aoe3 it loads the installshield wizard and gets stuck on "configuring windows installer"and after about 5 mins it gives the code 1611 unable to extract the file anyone had a similar problem that could help me out thanks

right click on the age of empires icon and click "Properties" and "Compatability"

you will see "Run this programme in compatability mode for"

Just choose Xp and apply.

Also have you installed any update patches there are for Age of empires?
 
no i havent got any updates did the compatabilty mode and it gave me "windows cant find 'C:/windows/system32/setup.exe'.make sure you typed the name correctly,and then try again
