Ok guys, I have been looking at vid cards now, and I am pretty sure that I have a AGP Supported mother board. As far as what mother board I have, I am not really sure, I bought it but I lost my box, I think it is something like... Kt88 delta??????? But I know it is MSI for sure. The problem is when I am looking at AGP video cards the place were you put in the mother board does not look like it would fit properly. It kind of looks like a PCI-Express. The only thing that troubles me is I had this old card from a long time ago, it was a Rage xl 180 pro, or something like that. And it fit into my cpu and would work. I bought this mother board about 2 years ago. I was looking at ebay for Rage pro's and it was saying they were PCI, not pci - express but PCI only. Now can a PCI fit into PCI-Express and AGP? I am pretty sure it is AGP but I just dont think it will match up on my CPU. I looked at the mother board and it had 1 gap, or space were you plug it in. I have looked at agp cards and some of them have 2 gaps were it needs to be plugged in. I will try and give an example. PCI - |____| |____________|
AGP - |____| |_________| |_____|
on my mother board I have |____| |______________|
Any help would be great

Thanks!

i think you are just get confuse about pci and pci-express slot.......but i am pretty sure pci card will NOT fit into pci-express slot.....

if you are not sure whether your motherboard has a agp slot...try to use "pc-wizard" software to find out

you can get it from www.cpuid.com

If you only have PCI, then that's all you can use. PCI is different than AGP is different than PCI Express. Non are inter-changable.

There's 1x, 2x, 4x, 8x, 16x and 32x... And rumors of PCI Express 2.0(more than that I guess, I've just not read into it)
