AGP slot in a laptop?

My laptop computer came with AGP drivers, how do you add on a video card to a laptop?

Does it just use some sort of overlay? I'm a bit confused about how an addon video card works on a laptop.

Are the cards hard to find?
 
again, i haven't SEEN an agp slot in the laptop, but it came with the AGP drivers.

It's only a 13" lappy, so i don't know what kind of video card would even physcially fit inside the case, it was just a question out of curiosity
 
the AGP controller is built into the motherboard (main logic board) of your laptop. So the device may need drivers if windows doesn't already have one to use.

From my knowledge laptops are not upgradeable as far as video cards go. At one point one company did make a pcmcia PCI card slot adapter for laptops but the card and the enclosure was like 700 dollars, so no one ever bought it. Or it could have just been a joke I don't even remember.
