Alright, I'm looking into getting a new computer (comes with a amd athlon 64 X2 4200 dual core 2.2ghz processor, 150gb hdd, 2gigs of ram, and a 256MB NVIDIA GeForce 7500LE.

The graphics card is the only thing I'm questioning...I cant find anything on it (it probably sucks)

Has anyone had any experience with this?

Yes that card suck, you are better off with a 7600 than with that "shit"

The 256MB NVIDIA GeForce 7600 GT?

If so, does it have a vga output? (because...I dont think my monitor will work with a dvi slot)

My monitor is around 7 yrs. old (CRT)

Video cards now days comes with a dvi to vga converter, so yes you can use your old monitor only that you will need to use the converter instead of connecting it directly

alright, thx...

and also, which is better, the 256MB NVIDIA GeForce 7600 GT or the 256MB ATI Radeon X1300 Pro

I'm assuming its the 256MB NVIDIA GeForce 7600 GT (i'm looking at two dif. computers)

A Geforce 7600GT is better than a radeon x1300 pro, i don't really recommend on buying a pre-build computer but well the the choice is your not mine

alright...do you think the radeon x1300 pro will work with mediocre gaming?

Like i told you, you are better off with a 7600 GT than a x1300 anyway the price of a 7600GT witn decent speed is around 120$ while a normal radeon is around 70$.

with the 7600$ you receive over the double on 3dmark06

still...the package that the 7600 GT is in is a lot more expensive (and i dont want to have to buy a new psu to upgrade the gpu in the cheaper pacakge)

I'm sure the radeon will work for things like command and conquer, rollercoaster tycoon, simcity 4....etc.

The 7500??? I have never heard of it. Of course a radeon will work for things like games, :D:D:D, it just doesn't work as good as a nvidia!!! :D:D:D:D

Of course I think the 7600GT is the best one to get if you are on a budget, if not a 7900GT is the perfect stopgap before a 8900. :D:D:D

the 256MB ATI Radeon X1300 Pro is still better than a 256MB NVIDIA Geforce 7300LE TurboCache though right?

Yes, X1300 Pro is faster than 7300LE, but both of those cards are not so good for gaming.

You should get at least 7600GT if you want to use you computer for gaming.

I cant...I'm getting a prebuilt and its not one of the choices, I would just put a new gfx card in, but then I'd also have to upgrade the psu

Its all so gay...If only dell would have better gfx cards to choose from. (on their low-end stuff)
