ahhh, but what core is it?

is there some way to find out what core is in my Ahtlon64 3500+? the invoice when i ordered it said it was a Clawhammer, but the clock frequency and L2 cache don't match up wiht a Clawhammer. (a Clawhammer would be 2.4GHz with a 1MB L2 cache, mine's 2.2GHz with a 512KB cache) i've been tryin to figure this one out for awhile, hopefully i can get some help here.

3500=2.2ghz if you search 2.2ghz clawhammer the only result is a 3400. so is either a athlon 64 4000 or 3500.

craptaculousness, i wish i could find the article that i got those stats from, i thought it was weird that there would be different clock speeds for the same performance rating. regardless, i've found an answer to my own question while looking for that article. according to my DEP#, my processor does actually have a Clawhammer core, which means my box that says it has a 512K cache was just a dirty, dirty liar. kinda sucks that i've got the weakest core for a 3500, but i doubt that will have any big impact for me, it's just that curiosity, she is my vice...man i'm a dork

Athlon 64 3500+ clawhammer one of those strange ones. It is a clawhammer core but it only have 512k L2 cache. Which I admit is strange but true. You be happy to know thoe that every core that athlon 64 3500+ comes in is 2.2ghz with 512 cache.

Actually such a chip exists.....

AMD Athlon64 3500+
Core = Hammer/Clawhammer
vCore = 1.450-1.500
netClock = 2200MHz
L2 = 512K
TDP = 89W
Revision = SH7-CG
