i have AIM on my cell phone, when i have the away message on my phone, i still get IM's? like you know on a computer, when you put a away message up, the away message collects em, soo their not all over the screen? on my phone, they just keep coming up, how can i get that 2 stop?

and is there a way 2 be signed on, but not get IM's?

well in regards to stopping them i'm not sure how also the only way i know of to keep from getting im's while you're signed on is to set yourself as invisible, if it looks like you aren't on people won't talk to you. Usually....

More information would be good for those that know more about it than i do, like your cell providor and what not

I'm not sure, but my guess would be that this problem has something to do with the actual AIM application. I know on Sprint phones users have two ways to use AIM, by using the AIM on the web (maybe what you are using) or buying the actual AIM application for phones. You should list what type of phone and service provider you have because someone might have the same phone as you.

As far as the second question the only way I know of doing that is through making yourself "invisible". Some instant message applications support this feature but I have never seen it on phones.

i dont think you can set yourself as invisible on cell phones...

it's a verizon, motorola razr v3m, i didnt download AIM, it was already on my phone.
