Albatron ATOP Card?

Where can I find this? It's a AGP x8 to PCI-e x1 converter, and I need it because I want a decent graphics card until I buy a new computer (may take up to end of this year) and there are very little PCI-e x1 or PCI cards better than my integrated graphics. However, I can't find the ATOP card anywhere, even though it was supposedly released. None of the sites with info on the press release about the release of the ATOp card ever mention a site where you can buy it. Help?

The converter is only compatible with the following AGP Video cards from NVIDIA: MX4000, FX5200, FX5700, FX5700LE, GeForce 6800, GeForce 6200. Just in case you didnt realise.

I have found one site where it can be bought. http://www.shopferret.com.au/buy/graphics_cards~l-p__filters-315.html

That site shows no information about it apart from the name and what it does. the price is $23. Jave a look and see what you think.

Also, I have found no information that its connects to a pci-1x slot. Only to a regular pci-e 16x. But the I could be wrong.

I don't see the benefit of buying a 6800 and putting that in your system, you would get more bang for you buck if you upgrade to a PCI-E system and a current generation graphics card.

I didn't realize that it was meant for specific cards, I thought it was generic. I think I'll just buy a X1550PRO for about $80 until I get the money to buy a new PC. Just one more question: is it possible to use both integrated graphics and video card graphics at the same time? Because when I play UT2004 on my PC with integrated graphics at max settings on 1280x1024 resolution, it is only choppy from time to time, and I don't know how powerful the X1550PRO is compared to my integrated (which apparently is pretty good).

To the best of my knowledge you have to disable integrated graphics to be able to use a new card. But there may be some way of doing it that I have not heard of.

That is true for any motherboard with integrated graphics. You can't run onboard and a dedicated card at the same time.

Okay, so I decided I'm not getting a graphics card right now, and instead, I'll just save for the new PC. Meanwhile, is there any way to increase integrated graphics memory? I'm at 128MB, and since my 1GB DDR2 Dual Channel memory is shared, is there any way to increase the amount of memory given to the integrated graphics? Like through some program or overclocking or something?
