Album/Song Info not showing when ripping

I just bought a dell xps 400. When I put a CD in the drive to rip using media player 10, it dosen't pull up any of the track or album information. It just says unknow artist/album. I've set Media player to connect to the internet. It would take forever to have to enter all the Album and Song infor for every CD I want to rip. These are also original store bough music cds.

well it sounds like you either have an internet problem or a WM10 problem, try another media player (like Winamp). Then, see if it works that way.
 
I tried CDex and it does the same thing. I can open an internet window just fine, but media player won't recognize the internet. I've checked every box I can find to allow media player to connect to the internet. I'm on a cable connection that's always on.
 
The relevant tabs in WMP are Media Library and Privacy. Have you checked your firewall is allowing WMP access to the Internet? Very rare but there are cds out there that are not in cddb/freedb.

I figured it out. I just downloaded the new internet explorer beta. Turns out theres a bug with it, you have to go into LAN settings and select automatically detect network settings, then it worked just fine. I didn't think Internet Explorer could affect Windows Media Player, but it did. Thanks for the help guys!!
