My apologies once again for the delay. I have been trying to find out more information about your problem, but without much success. All the scans that we've run show no active malware, so I would say your problem is not malware related.
The next thing I would try is a repair reinstall of Windows, which should not cause any data loss. Take a look at http://www.techspot.com/vb/topic8356.html for detailed instructions on how to do this.
Don't worry about it, I definitely understand you have a life outside of this forum. I'll do that reinstall when I have the time, and no one needs the computer (my brother and I share this one). Anyways, tonight I caught my brother looking at porn and downloading from limewire (which I constantly delete and he constantly installs), anyways, after that windows installed an update and rebooted. And I was no longer able to access the internet. I tried everything, eventually risking turning off zone alarm which worked. I found that turning protection to high (which is where it usually is) blocked all internet access, while medium and low allowed traffic. My only thought were that my brother got a virus somehow. I'll include a HJT log just in case. Thanks again for all your help, I really do appreciate it. Oh, and excuse my grammar it's 5:30 in the morning and I've been up all night playing Halo
Okay, I'll do that. You've been a big help these past couple of days (and very patient too) after I do the repair install I'll let you know what happens.
Thanks, a quick update on your Zone Alarm issue, the problem is related to a Windows update, you'll need to download an updated version of ZoneAlarm from http://download.zonealarm.com/bin/free/pressReleases/2008/LossOfInternetAccessIssue.html (just released, so if you downloaded it when I posted yesterday you'll probably need to download a newer one).
