Almost 100C!

I've reached 100 degrees on the fan 1. Fan 1 is the IT8712F chip it says on SpeedFan. Is this bad? How do I change it?

On Everest it says "aux" is also 100 degrees celsius.

Sometimes speedfan finds temperature sensors that aren't really there. Given that your processor is that hot, it should have already shut down.

Update: It just shut down on me when it reached like 107C. I looked at the BIOS and it said it was the CPU with that temp, and it shut off on me again. Uh oh... I'm screwed aren't I?

If it really was that hot, your computer would not be telling you through CPU-Z, it would be sending you a smoke signal.

Alright then, BIOS, Speedfan, and Everst are lieing it seems. But that's besides the point, how do I get it down? I recall like three loose cables in my computer yesterday, but I could find any place to plug them in, could that be a problem?

other people have posted where they were getting readings of unreasonable temperatures.... try using another program and see what it says your temps are... do you have any aftermarket cooling or any fans in your case?

No, they're all stock fans. Plus BIOS said the CPU was overheating too. I was cleaning my computer yesterday, could I have knocked something loose?

You might have knocked the heatsink loose. Reseat the heatsink and apply some arctice silver five, that should do the trick.
