Almost compulsory buy - Need Advice

Hi!

I have the opportunity to buy a ASUS laptop at a price that is just too low to pass.

Here are the specs:

Intel®CoreTM 2 Duo Pro31JC 1.66Mhz Processor
HD 100 GB
15,4” TFT LCD Monitor TFT LCD WXGA (1280 x 800)
RAM 1024 MB DDR2 533 MHz
Dual Layer DVD Recorder
Wireless 802.11 a/b/g
Graphic card Nvídia Geforce 7300 521 MB turbocache

Is there anything special I should know regarding these specs?

Regarding game playing, which ones will be "off limits" with the speced graphic card?

Thanks for any replies.

Looks like a good quality laptop that will be suitable for most games. It should be able to play almost all games, maybe not the best at the highest settings.

Are you guys kidding? that is insanely expensive!

EDIT: Sorry, not insanely expensive, just normal priced though. Not something I would by in an instant just becaus it is less. I customized a Dell notebook with same specs other than a 120GB hard drive for $989.

Guys, thanks for the replies.

I wasn't really asking how good a deal it was. In fact, I just posted the price because Bobo asked.

Mind you that I live in Portugal. For our market, believe me, that IS a bargain.

(Actually, as a rule, laptops are way cheaper in the US than in the EU. Portugal is just the worst market, in that respect...)

A similarly spec ASUS costs 1700 - 2000 USD here.

My questioning was about if there was anything flagrantly wrong with the specs and how will the Nvídia Geforce 7300 perform for gaming, since I really am not familiar with graphic cards for laptops.

This will be the 4th computer in our house-hold (talk about blatant consumerism...). Because of the low, low price I thought I might leave the Sony Vaio I usually use on my (many!) night-stops for my wife's sole use and take the ASUS with me on those trips.

While at home, it would catter for a second emerging need, as my youngest is starting to complain about his older brother hogging their common use PC.

Hence, the need for the gaming suitability (...not that I don't also play games, but they are "resources-frugal" ones...:) ).

The Elder Scrolls IV - Oblivion", "Splinter Cell" and "Battlefield 2" have been mentioned as their typical gaming turf...

Any more inputs...?
