Ok so my PC turns on but it gets to where windows starts loading then blue screens and says check for viruses or something with my hard drive chk dsk. Everything is hooked up and works. I've had this problem before and I think it was a simple fix but can't remember

New build? What Operating system? If XP then you may need the sata controller driver if you are running in ahci mode or you will need raid driver if setting up raid. Need more info on your setup.

So I have win XP installed and when I boot up it blue screens and says no hard disk. So I installed vista and it recognized my hard drive but then when I boot up it gets to the windows loading screen and just won't get passed the loading. Any ideas?

So have you got to the vista desktop screen for the first time yet? Or is the reboot after installing vista? I would say Killdisk the HDD and start over. I would skip vista and install 7 though. If the bar keeps going across the screen and don't load, most likely a driver/hardware issue. Did you run the vista upgrade advisor before upgrading?

No I never get passed the loading bar. What's kill disk? If it is hardware is there a specific way to find out what it is? When PC first starts tho it displays all my hardware

Ok so on this other build the mobo I have the pins where the CPU sits were bent, I bent em back and there all lined up pretty good, put together and PC powers up and everything running but nothing on screen. Could those pins cause that?

it could have severed one or more of the connections to the CPU die when they were bent. If it is an older CPU that is PGA, then see if you can get another and try it. If it is LGA, then you will need a new motherboard.
